Capannina’s agricultural activity follows the dictates of organic and regenerative agriculture. It consists in the cultivation of wild fruits, a small orchard of ancestral varieties, a family garden, free-range chickens, rabbits, ducks and an apiary. We have also recently started collecting truffles in our woods.
Since 2010 we have set up a shop on the farm to sell our canned and fresh products. We also reserved a room in our home for the hospitality for pilgrims on the Cammino di Assisi (from Dovadola to Assisi) and on the Cammino di Dante.

“Only with happy animals we can have excellent products”. Sepp Holtzer
Our breeding is natural. The animals on our farm live a life as similar as possible to what they would find in nature.
“The scent of berries is a difficult poem to repeat, it involves all the senses for a short time and then disappears. It is a sweet fragrance, light and vague as beautiful things often are.” (Anonymous)
Our crops are inspired by Permaculture: a low-maintenance type of multifunctional cultivation that is based on the imitation of the forest ecosystem and in which fruit plants, wood plants, vegetables, flowers, medicinal herbs, honey and other plants are grown last the truffle.
“It is autumn and there is a certain amount of products collected during the summer left. What’s better than bottling them, pickling them and storing them in all possible ways for the long winter days?“ John Seymour.
Each product is 100% natural, made with healthy and genuine ingredients coming directly from our garden or orchard.
Since 2010 we have reserved a room in our house to the hospitality of those who want to spend some time with us on our farm following the “Rural Hospitality” formula (B&B, Half Board or Full Board) We are one of the refuges for the first step to the “Way of Assisi” and halfway back to the Way of Dante.
We collect fresh, high quality truffles, harvested by experienced hands on our land. Truffles are underground mushrooms that are usually born spontaneously in nature, prefer certain types of soil and develop in symbiosis with certain plants. Truffles grow in an area whose climatic characteristics allow for optimal development of its various types. In addition, every type of truffle prefers a certain type of plant, with which it establishes a symbiosis that will make it develop in the best way.
